  | dsktap11.zip - | | systems. It has been devised to help cassette-based Tandy Color
Computer (CoCo) and CoCo emulator users to use disk-based files found on
the Internet on their system. To keep it accessible to any type of
file, it takes as input a standard PC file, which it copies into a
virtual cassette (.CAS) file according to the standard settings used by
the CoCo.

  | em3134b1.zip - | | by means of software only. If installed, EMU386 will add real mode 386
capabilities to 286s, no additional hardware required.
EMU386 will allows 286 users to run 386 MS-DOS programs that conforms:
(1) Didn't check or ignore CPU type. (2) Runs in real-mode only.
Some MS-DOS programs written recently are intended to run even on an XT,
some of them accidentally had 386 opcodes mixed in. This kind of
software will work flawlessly on a 286 with EMU386, since it has only
few and sparse 386 opcodes. Programs that highly optimized for 386 will
experience noticeable slowdown, that's because EMU386 mimic each 386
opcodes using multiple 286 opcodes. Another example of EMU386 usage is
to give 286 users a chance to use plug and play devices. To use these
devices, DOS users should install a setup program or device driver, that,
in most cases, is written for 386s.
Special requirements: 286-based PC (XT or AT).
Changes: Bug fixes in test opcodes, more 386 programs supported.

  | appler.zip - | |
Appler is a DOS-hosted Apple ][ Emulator. For those of you who don't
know what Apple ][ is, I'll try to explain. It is maybe the first
worldwide popular personal computer. Just imagine this: 48K RAM, 1MHz
CPU, big main board with many separate chips on it... And compare it to
today's powerful computers! If you have never seen any program running
on Apple ][, you are probably thinking that it should be slow and ugly
looking. But people who still remember Lode Runner, Karateka, Robot
Odyssey, ... know that making quality games and programs doesn't require
hundreds of MHz and tons of RAM.
aplersrc.zip is the source of Appler. It is 100% assembler. To build
it, you need Turbo Assembler and Turbo linker.
