  | CyberSky 4.0.4 | | CyberSky is an accurate, yet easy-to-use planetarium program that provides an excellent way to learn about astronomy and explore the sky visible in the distant past, the present, and the far-off future. CyberSky can display and print attractive, highly-customizable maps of the sky as seen from your home, your favorite vacation spot, or any other location on the Earth. The program's clean, user-friendly interface makes it easy to identify the objects you see in the sky and find the objects you want to see.
CyberSky has a versatile animation feature that lets you watch astronomical events unfold at whatever pace you desire. This feature is not only a lot of fun, it makes the program very well-suited for astronomy education. Many of the most basic and interesting astronomical phenomena can only be seen over weeks, months, or even years, or by observing the sky from widely separated locations on the Earth. CyberSky lets you do this--it places the sky under your control.
CyberSky is used by people all over the world who want to become familiar with the objects they see in the sky, by amateur and professional astronomers who need a straightforward, uncluttered planetarium program, by parents who want to share their interest in astronomy with their children, and by educators who want to empower their students to learn in a way unimagined a generation ago. CyberSky has something to offer you, regardless of your level of astronomy knowledge. |

  | LcStars 3.2 | | Astronomical planetarium in color and easy to use, with which you'll be able to contemplate 28,695 objects of the firmament and the phenomena and the most interesting astronomical movements of the past, the present and the future. You can observe the sky from any
Earth place, in the date that you determine (from the 12 hours of January, 1 of 4,713 A.C. until the 23 hours and 59 minutes of December, 31 of 7,999 D.C.), selecting the type of objects that you wish to see and there minimum magnitude. Also you can consult the position and other data
relative to 3,654 celestial objects, to locate them in the sky at any time, to animate the images to study the movements of the stars and the planets, to display inverted the image of the sky as it appears in the viewfinder of a telescope, to print any image of the screen and other many possibilities that you will be discovering as it is advancing in the knowledge of the program. |

  | Coeli - Stella 2000 6.03 | | Complete astronomy suite comprising a full-featured planetarium, observing log and list builder, Coeli Time Line, Live Orbits (orrery), location browser, Sky Quiz, and sophisticated searches embracing planets, comets, asteroids, DSOs, and up to 300,000 stars.
Planetarium effects include scintillation, extinction, refraction, and precession in point source, photo plate and spotlight display styles; along with the complete Messier catalog in image icons.
An integral HTML guide to the solar system, a 1000-term astronomical dictionary, and the 2nd revised and enlarged edition of Aspects of Astronomy -- a book-length primer covering topics such as "What are the Stars?", "Choosing a Telescope", "Cosmology", "Dark Matter", "Eclipses", and "The History of Astronomy", to name but a few -- are closely coordinated with the sky display and picture windows.
Stella 2000 talks and teaches aloud. With complete incorporation of Microsoft Agent speech technology, animated characters guide you painlessly through the pronunciation of a myriad of arcane star names and lore, and even read aloud from Astrogloss and Aspects of Astronomy, not to mention offering that most immediate form of program help: spoken guidance.
Stella's Drag Mode brings complete plasticity into all your interactions with the planetarium display. Dragging the mouse auto-scrolls sky quadrants smoothly and quickly into view from three selectable planes of reference: Horizon (local), Equatorial (atlas), and Ecliptic / Heliocentric. Stella provides direct links to extensive DSO and planetary information on the Web, all tightly unified with the Sky display, Reports, and the Coeli Solar Guide.
Auto-Search instantly updates readouts and reports on any object your mouse pointer scrolls over. You may even slew your Meade ETX/LX200 telescope to the object selected in Stella's sky. |

  | Unistellar Industries Starmap Generator 101 | | This is a console-based application which will ask for a HIP catalog reference number and will draw a 2048x1024 BMP file (cylindrical projection map) of what the night sky would look like from that vantage point.
This utility is used to create the starfield visible from Yonmara, a star about 200 light years from Earth for the Unistellar Industries multi-player space simulation software. |

  | GrandTour 4.1 | | GRANDTOUR can simulate space as seen from the Voyager and Giotto spacecraft. In addition, GRANDTOUR can
generate scenes from arbitrary points in space or the Earth, with the
spacecraft visible to the observer. The planet, moons, and rings of
interest (or comet, nucleus, and tail), stars, the sun, and the
spacecraft are all accurately drawn with wireframe representations.
Hidden line removal is done for the body surfaces. The motions of the
bodies themselves are highly accurate, with errors no greater than 500
kilometers. The user has considerable control over the time step, field of
view, etc., and many frames per second are typically generated.
The program was originally developed at the Jet Propulsion
Laboratory by John D. Callahan to assist in the analysis of science and optical navigation
data. In addition, the program was filmed by the BBC as part of a NOVA
documentary on the Voyager Uranus encounter, and by the Four Point
Entertainment Company for a commercially available video on Halley's
Comet. Program conveniently runs from any Windows/DOS.
