  | parcp380.zip - | | PARCP is a program for transferring files between two computers via
their parallel ports. It has a fullscreen, Norton Commander-like user
interface. PARCP's transfer speed is usually higher than 100 kB/s
(depending on speed of both computers). PARCP can utilize both
unidirectional (SPP) and bidirect parallel ports (even EPP and ECP
ones). PARCP is designed for full 8-bit transfer using special PARCP
parallel cable (for achieving maximal speed) but it can also use
wide-spread Turbo LapLink cable. PARCP can use multitasking operating
systems (Windows95, OS/2, Linux-ix86) and does support long file names
under these operating systems. PARCP also supports Atari ST range of
computers, so it's even possible to transfer files between Atari and
IBM computers. PARCP can be used as a cheap replacement of real
(ethernet based) home network. With its ability to make use of batch
transfers and script executing, it can even regularly backup your files
or easily distribute new updates.
Special requirements: None.
Changes: Many important bug fixes and UI enhancements.

  | minitel.zip - | | system, but beyond that, it has no frills. It should be fairly
intuitive, but you need a working knowledge of modem commands (ATDT &
so forth.)
Minitel.asm is Turbo Assembler source. We use the old IBM rule: One
Comment Per Line of Source. It should be fairly easy to read, but it
is rather spaghetti-ish.
